I also am getting ready to do a ZZ4 V-8 conversion into my 1983 911SC. The cost of doing business with the 911 parts department is just high and too hard too expensive to build horsepower, I feel.
What was the total cost picture on your conversion? Horsepower and Torque specs? Mine will be 355 HP, 380 FTpds Torque. I may elect to have some more work on the powerplant to get it to turn 5,900Rpm all day and 7,200 as needed. The rear end gears will most likely be changed out to bring the shifting line with the powerplant specs. I found a new 22 gallon gas tank replacement, so the fuel tank alterations will soon be unnessary. Have any interested in a fine running 3.0 engine, still car and a daily runner.
