I don't know of a better way to do it. I've moved about 6 figures through my bank account on behalf of distant buyers in the last 1/2 year or so. Sometimes the sellers want cash, sometimes a cashiers check, but most often, they want it transferred (EFT) to their account, so I get their account number & do it. For smaller amounts sent to me, I'll give my account # and name and they'll fill out a deposit slip and put money directly into my account. There may be some way to pull a scam, but I doubt it.
