Yesterday and today I had a couple great days on Mulholland. The weather was cool, sunny, and dry with no dirt or rocks on the road, and no cops or crazy riders at the times I rode. It felt great to get back on my rigid frame and be able to stand up on the pedals and really get somewhere without all my power going into the suspension.
I also realized I had forgotten how fun it is to go downhill on that bike.

I tried staying in my aerodynamic tucked-in position the whole way down and keeping my cg lower seemed to make it easier to transition between turns. It is a little scary the first time since I am used to sitting up in the braking zone and through the turn, but I felt I was carrying more speed and lean angle while laying down. So much fun.
My arms get a bit of a workout too from pulling on the bars uphill and then pushing on the bars to react the braking forces going dowhill. When I sit up downhill I can lock my elbows so I feel it more now in my triceps. Which is nice.
