I just hit the quote button on another thread, copied it then clicked quote on your post, pasted it in and voila!

Yeah, there's a button made for this. The smaller button to the right of the button that has the word quote on it has a quotation mark and a +. When you click it, it changes color. You click on that button on all the posts you want to include, and then finally use the button with the word quote on the last one you want to include. This will bring up a reply window with all the clicked messages quoted in it.
