If spark plugs are installed at the correct torque, then it shouldn't matter how warm the engine is. They do not go on very tight (about 20 lb/ft). I have seen some that appear to have been torqued to about 60 lb/ft. This will damage the aluminum threads, and the engine could spit out the plug, along with the aluminum threads. I have seen this happen.
