I had a truck tent for the Tacoma that I brought over from my old 1990.
I hate sleeping on the ground, which I did for years and years, first as a kid camping with my parents for years and then as a white water rafting guide for five summers of love.
Truck tents get me off where the crawlers are, out of the muck and mire...I don't mind being wet, just not wet and muddy, when I don't need to be.
I still ground camp but when I can back the truck up, damn skippy.
