Sounds like fun...
Not knocking you but why does "pushing the envelope" have to be a physical thing?
How about renting a cabin in the woods or on the beach/lake and reading (or writing) a/some good book(s).
Or doing some volunteer work... meet some interesting people.. step outside your comfort zone.
