Did youactually tow the car home backwards? guess that dispells the myth
Interesting point. This is a short coupled trailer. When I first bought it, I was heading down a long hill into Monument Colorado (Friday afternoon heading to the track) in heavy traffic, and was accelerating slightly. My 911 racecar was loaded pointing forward (read ...engine in back). All of the sudden the trailer and car started to fishtail so violently that all my teeth came loose. I BARELY managed to get the truck and trailer slowed, without destroying myself and everyone around me. Everyone gave me wide bearth from there on. Needless to say from that point forward, weight goes forward on trailer which means Porsches get loaded backwards.
I was concerned about the targa top getting ripped off, so I used strong bungee cords on the inside to frimly secure the top to the chassis. I am pretty sure they were necessary.
