I looked at the pedestal again. No locks and looks like it splits after taking the top off...not sure how secure the top is attached but it didn't pull off easily. Maybe I'll try again after dark.
As you can see, my mower doesn't lend itself to crush accidents very well (w/ gratuitous house pic). I frequently regret selling my 445 rider but I'd probably be even more fat if I still had it (but my foot would thank me...I love middle age!!).
We tried the Clarus Shikani a few years ago and found the image to be pretty bad. Ended up with a McGrath and Glidescope which have worked well for us. Have you tried them?
