But you seem to be suggesting that there is something wrong with "wanting" a particular vehicle? I specifically asked about 80 series Land Cruisers, not "what's the best vehicle to buy for my wife". Other than to give me a hard time about what my wife wants to buy, I don't understand what point you're trying to make.

Already owned a 4Runner. Two of them, actually. We looked at X5s when we bought the 530. Show me an X5 for less than $10k. I wouldn't even consider the Chevy/Ford products. Too many bad experiences.
I appreciate your comment on the rust issues although I haven't seen any rust on the ones we've looked at (or excessively worn leather).
