It's kind of interesting. In my tail shift 6 tranny, the 2 roll pins are such that if either fails, you will lose the ability to shift the tranny, but nothing else will happen.
If that roll pin had continued to fail, not only would you have lost the ability to shift, but the "Comb" or "Rake" could interact with the output shaft. Hmmmmm. I think I'll make this a punch out and check item!
