I have to crow a bit about my kids. Daughter graduated from the University of Washington this week in sociology. She finished with a 3.7, nominated for their top academic honor at graduation, worked 20 hours a week all through school and volunteered at several places along the way.
On the same day of her school of sociology graduation my son, junior Army ROTC at WSU finished airborne school at Ft. Benning. He's tired, a bit beat up but home as of last night with his airborne wings. He also was pinned this spring with the german armed forces proficiency badge.
She's going to save the world, he's intent on defending it. I'm in awe of both of them. A couple of years back at his high school graduation.
