As for ozone hole, this isn't the right forum and I don't want to inject politics into it at all, but there is very solid science behind the issue of CFC's and ozone depletion. Yes, wrong place for this. But the "hole" is almost gone. As for recharge, plenty of R12 still around. But best find the leaks first.
