The parents weren't neglectful IMO. They've been in h*ll for thirty years- IMO virtually everyone in Australia (and everyone at that campsite) believed they were innocent and that this was a politically motivated prosecution- didn't want to frighten the tourists away you know.

Australia is a lovely place (one of my favorite places in the world) but you know there are things there (especially in the boonies) that could kill you or your child at a moments notice even if you're careful. Dingos are only part of it. I would have thought a child would be safe in a tent but obviously not.
