I don't know about the engines on Suburbans, but we ran a bunch of
4WD or AWD ones through Canyon de Chelly for The Lone Ranger a few months ago. We were running them in water up to the running boards, and not one of them got wet under the hood and died. Same with the Toyotas. I felt we should be making a Suburban or Toyota commercial. The things were impressive.
