It's a British Vauxhall--about 1946 [just postwar] maybe a 10 or 14-----
See the flutes along the bonnet[hood] edges!
Here's one .This is a 12-the numbers were common as H.P for tax purposes,nothing to do with engine power.
Not uncommon for the lesser models to not have the boot[trunk]as this one appears. 1948 they say.
Looks like your original might have 1948 as number plate.
