My 1987 930 appears to run hot too. Here in Buffalo, New York we may see 90f on a very hot day and the factory gauge will start to enter the red zone. I have rebuilt the front cooler/thermostat to no avail. I suspect maybe the engine oil cooler or perhaps maybe 85k miles.
