RMS is just the crank to crankshaft alignment was not concentric on all block castings. No biggie, just annoying.

IMS has a sealed bearing that would wear the seals, liberate the grease, but not have enough engine oil to bathe the bearing causing failure. If it fails, unrepairable damage occurs.
