Yeah. It is kinda nice not to have to jump through hoops as long as the registration has not lapsed. I had to do a safety thing for the BMW since it is a salvage title and they made us buy some expensive taillight lenses since one had a tiny hairline crack. But your beater Honda can go around with red tape for lenses...
I wish they would quit the visual smog test. The sniffer is all that matters. It keeps people with classic cars from installing EFI on old motors which would improve emissions and power but not look stock. I know I'd like to do that to my car at least.
