ahhh,, yeah me too..
it was a food grade drum that grape concentrate came in. the season "cook" i gave it was for nearly 6 hours, two bags of kingsfords, a bunch of wood, and got the thing in excess of 500*... they guy i sourced it from has used them on many occasions and sold them to others for the same use. you can see in the food shot the coating is pretty covered already by a thick layer of black soot. could not be worse than all the other stuff ive put in my body all in the name of "fun"..
the convex roof was not by design, but ended up being useful for a bit more roof room on the grill when in the top position... still a few things to do to be sure, something to choke the exhaust, and i found i need to plug two of the 4 vent holes i put down low.
if it kills me ill have been fed good here at the end...
