No 3rd gear!
I have a 93 318 is and currently the car will not shift into third gear properly. If I start driving first and second gear are fine but third gear is a sonofa*****. I can get the car to shift into third by getting up to about 4000rpms in 2nd gear shifting into nuetral revving the gas and getting the engine up to 4500 then it will shift into third but it still wants to kick it out of gear. I also seem to be leaking atf fluid because if I park the car and pump the clutch then look under the car fluid will start to leak out. My jack is currently under another 318 and I have not gotten all the way under the car yet. My thoughts are currently maybe it is shifter bushings or possibly slave cylinder? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
