Not trying to be a smart aleck... but when going to Lowe's/HD/Kroger, there have been times when I've seen a pull-through spot like that, but then it hits me; I'm gonna need to get in the trunk.

As far as why not "nose in"? I never park nose in unless I absolutely have to ( and that's rare ). Especially when in my truck. In that situation, I'd roll forward a few inches for loading. I'm hyper-sensitive to backing into something so I eliminate backing at all costs. Humans aren't built to back up safely. Same applies to when we're behind the wheel.
