Cost of ownership of a new car is going to be more than the SC. New car maintenance will be low, but when you factor depreciation your SC comes out ahead. And insurance on a new car will be more too.
Your SC is at or near the bottom of the depreciation curve. You've already done the engine rebuild, it should just be routine maintenance for a long time.
