I run both of mine on the track a few times a year:
Apart from checking them both over before and after and general servicing for the GS (my road bike), I change the engine oil and filter in both of them after every trackday and the driveline fluids every other time or so. Probably not strictly nessessary I know, but I've seen some pretty amazing durability from very abused engines that always had fresh oil at the start of the race regardless of when it was changed last. That means it's not a worry and that means I'm not thinking about that and short-shifting when I should be letting it rev-out in 5th....
That's just the way I do it though...
