You sure that cap will do that? I have a bunch of motorcycles, and the caps on those are not vented... I think I"d double check that cap if I were you.

No, it does offer a little extra volume. You can accomplish the same thing by not filling your tank to the top of the neck. Just leave a little room when you fill it.
