I was wandering around a marina in Hampton Bays, NY (Shinnecock Canal, Spellmans Marina) and there was fellow cleaning up a 1962 Bert 31... in bristol condition... We chatted about the boat, it was re-powered recently with Cat diesels, re-decked everything about the boat was brought up to date....and it was for sale
$175K!!!  for a 50 year old boat, I guess a Bert 31 is equivalent to a Speedster  Yep - and the same cult like following
