Road to the Sun...IF you can, go over and back, driving it both ways. Totally difference views and experience. If you can only do one way, do it from east to west. You will be looking at mtns that are behind you back going the other way.

1) Hwy 95/55 from Lewiston, McCall and down to Boise.
2) Stanley
3) Lolo Pass (Hwy 12) with a side trip to Elk City
4) East side of Lake Couer de Alene thru Harrison.
5) Hwy 71, west from Cambridge down into Hell's Canyon to Oxbow.
