The easy way to know if you need a vent-
Blau furnishes both types of 100mm dia. caps. Turn it over and on the underside you will find either ....."mit Luftung", which translates to with venting, or it'll say "Ohne Luftung"....which means not vented.
The only vent I have on my racecar is the vented Blau cap- it works great.
