Moving to NYC?
Hey Shaun,
I just noticed this post today, so moving to NYC!! WOW, THAT'S A BIG STEP!
As everyone has pointed out there are plenty of reasons to be outside the city, but seems like one of the MAJOR reasons you are moving is to get back into a groove again. So adding my 2cents, think Brooklyn is probably a good place to start, so stay the course!
If you need space take a look around the Red Hook area. There isn't much in the way of public trans except the bus so a car would be a benefit. Plus, some nice old industrial/commercial buildings you could probably work/live in as well. Not sure legally, but might be a while before anyone ever caught up to you. A lot going on there!
Have to meet for a beer sometime. I'm in the city frequently on biz and have family in Williamsburg section. Went to college in BedSty section years ago and that pretty much cured me of ever wanting to live in the city again, but I can see the draw! Tons of 'ENERGY' and the scenery is pretty awesome, wink wink!
Keep us posted!
