I recieved a flier for a swap meet in Petaluma California that I got at the swap meet at Parts Heaven in Hayward in June of this year. For what ever reason I had it in my mind that swap meets are always on Sundays.
Too make a long story short....
I reserved a room at a local motel in Petaluma. (two hour drive from my home) I didn't want to get up at 2am to get a good spot.
I reserved a UHaul trailer a week in advance. Picked it up, loaded it...
Convinced my girls...(wife and daughter, and dog) to
help me with said swap meet....
We were an hour and a half into the drive to the swap meet when I recieved a text from the gentleman that bought my old Carrera that said the swap meet was "
TODAY not tomorrow! Rectal arrest!!!
I am an idiot!!! I had it in my mind that swap meets are ALWAYS on Sundays! Not Saturdays! &()^%(^*%$TY{P!!!!!
Please kick me now! I deserve it!
PS, I had a really cool, random mix of stuff to sell out there. Still kicking myself in the rear.
It'll be one of those stories that I'll never live down.
