I'd heard that Arrow (Italy) is the supplier for Z-Technic but can't confirm it. I have the Z-Technic System and like it mainly for the reduced weight (1/2 OEM parts) as well as the nice sound during decel.
I agree that nothing is going to make a Boxer Twin sound like a 90 Degree V-Twin (the most intoxicating sound in motorcycling IMO).
As for a richer mixture I put on a Bosch O2 Sensor (Bosch P/N: 13474) and noted my bike consumed more fuel than Swartzy's on a trip to Colorado a few years ago. I average ~43 MPG running premium and altitudes around here of 300-600 Feet.
