2011. Yes I'd get another. From inside the vehicle, you cannot tell you have a diesel.
The ONLY issue I have, which is a general problem with the X5 line, is the seat belt holder now chips the door pillar. This didn't happen on our last X5 (2000).
I can't talk to cost that well, because I bought a left over 2011 in December of last year. I think we did $10K off list...
