I can't remember who posted this so it's not my idea but it works great. Buy a roll of duct tape and sit it on the floor in front of the passenger seat. The hole diameter holds a large cup of coffee, perfect for me! The roll of tape is heavy enough plus the side of the tape is a little sticky so it doesn't move around.
I didn't want to drill/mount anything and thought this was a neat answer to the cupholder dilemma.
