I'll say this; lawyers will always be suing for idiots.
Sure, the gas-can could be designed to make it more idiot-proof. ...but then the lawyer just find a better idiot.
...some idiot will set a gas-can on an open flame (near a kid) and some lawyer will shortly there after be saying "if only the gas-can had ceramic space-shuttle tiles...."
