I recently rented the Nikon D800 which makes ~70mb raw files. I was doing my usual thing post processing, I had Lightroom, photoshop and HDR efex open. I was working in photoshop I had several layers open and I started to smell a burning smell. Like electronics burning. I usually have the MBP on a table and use an external monitor. Sometimes it gets a bit warm. This time it was very very hot. it's a 2010 13" model...

Powered it off so after it cools down I guess I'll see if it still works. Must be karma getting me back for all the trash talk I do over on parf. Still a bummer though..


P.S the D800 is a pretty sweet camera! Awesome image quality.
