you have to read that stuff in a historical context. being branded a heretic was epidemic for academia. if it was at all possible for the catholic church to accuse descartes of being atheist, they would have, just for the pleasure of watching him burn.
edit: the spanish inquisition was active well into the 18th century and was only abolished about 1812. descartes' danger was real.

i have a few AGP video cards. none of them are great. i'd be happy to send you three or four and you can take your pick.
