Thanks for the advice, everyone.
She's been reluctant for us to spend the money on a second opinion, as we do not have insurance.
My ankle received two fractures as a teenager, and I keep telling my wife that it is a lifelong pain that she really, really does not want. I now have some other opinions to hopefully keep her dedicated to getting this healed properly.
