I was 65 last year before I bought my first Boxster which I have had for a year now. I also had a TR3, MGB and Miata. I can truly say the Boxster has been the best sports cars I have ever had, most power, best handling. Yes the IMS is always a factor until 2009 when they built it without one. Yes the above poster suggested 2003-2004 and that has the glass rear window. I have the IMS Guardian installed to give warning of impending IMS failure. I have the 2001 Boxster base with low mileage of 40K miles. You likely will not regret this decision but you must get a good one. Get a PPI done, ask for service records, make sure all warning lites illuminate before you start the engine. Manual or auto transmission? Check for options such as heated seats, make sure air cond. works. What options are important for you? And don't buy the first one you see. Play the field.
