David you have taught your kids well. The Porsche Boxster is the funnest device ever created by man. Find the best Boxster mechanic in town thru your local PCA club chapter & thru him verify the Boxster of your choice has been maintained better than Porsche recommends, the year is somewhat irrelevant for your purposes & you have sufficient budget to achieve your goal. Focus on the best car & not the "best deal" I'm thinking a automatic "S". Oh & don't buy large bunches of green bananas.
