I actually saw these guys in "concert" once. They were also regulars on Dick Clark's TV show,
Where the Action Is.
Saw the NY Dolls open for Mott the Hoople back in the day too. The NYC audience was a sight to behold...and quite a show all on it's own.
Bowie always had a rather odd sense of fashion.
