I have explained my situation here

If I go with my other case (B) it will need some kind of piston cooling. I ran across a post here about notching the rods as an alternative to piston squirters. It is much easier to notch rods than install squirters.
I am running a 993 oil pump and have cross drilled all of my main journals and grooved all the main bearings. I should have plenty of oil moving. Of course I won't spend a lot of time idling.
Anyone have some thoughts? Opinions?
