I'm not siding with the wife. If someone feels they have to take drastic measures like she's doing and the guy has guns, maybe there's a reason for that.
Even if he's the most level headed person, he could snap and start shooting everybody. I know I wouldn't want to take that risk.
Let him deal with his **** on his own.
