I always rent a car there and always reserve it here, usually on Kayak. I've never seen one that limited kms unless it was an exotic. It can be a lot cheaper to pick up a car away from an airport or train station, as those places usually have a much higher use tax on rental cars. Sometimes it's a wash if you can find the right deal, but a few times I've save more than $100 by taking a taxi from the airport to a car rental place in town, but still return it to the airport. Done a lot of one-way rentals too. FWIW, I've never had a worse driving experience than in Paris. It's utter chaos to drive there.
