Same here about five years ago. I brought the brass bushings and the bellcranks to a machine shop and asked them to turn down the bushings to a tight, sliding fit into the bellcranks. Had to do the same thing on both bellcranks (trans and engine.....brass bushings on both). No problems since. You might be able to do it in your basement with a drill and file. After you put everything back together again (engine console was a looong reach) don't forget to confirm full travel of the throttle plate.
