OK - so I live and work in Northern Va. metro area. My SO and I have Verizon cell service which is virtually perfect. We get a dial tone in a cave. Problem is the cost. We both have Androids and are under contract that is soon to expire.
We are on the 'second' tier in total combined minutes and texting which my wife uses better than half of. Looking over the plan options, Verizon has the 'plans' use minutes figured out pretty well ................to their advantage. The first tier / plan is very reasonable cost..... except if you use your cell as most people do. So on to the second tier where we are. Our combined bill is @$190.00 / month for service and taxes.
So does anyone else here have direct experience with an alternate provider where the service is as good W/O the high cost??
BTW, Verizon has the new retail phone price w/o their contract at a price point that is carefully crafted to about equal the 2 yr contract price averaged over.
