yes I would have time for visitors. What day? The colors are a nice bi product of case hardening. Originally guns were surface hardened this way. The colors are fragile and eventually wear off in time although the case hardening stays. UV light will steal the colors as well. This had to be annealed, heated and slowly cooled, first to draw the temper out of the metal, then re hardened, heated and quenched, to get these vivid colors. Turnbull's colors are very close if not exactly like the original color this was from the factory. Colors are dictated by the materials the metal is heated with. They use bone charcoal and leather most commonly. This will require no more care than you would normally use with any gun. Keep it oiled and not stored in direct sunlight. Time WILL take it's toll though just from handling.
