If they do eventually build a bridge, rumour has it that it would run from around Nanaimo which is about 2-2.5 hours from Victoria making the trip actually longer than taking the ferry from where I live! Still, most Islanders hate the idea as they think we'll be overrun by Vancouver residents but so what? With a hardline to the mainland, maybe the gas would be cheaper!
