Push through the PT Glen, it'll be worth it in the long run. 3 weeks after I had my ankle de-spurred, I was playing tennis again - not quite the same as getting a hip replacement but similar in that the PT helped me recover quickly.
I did catch an addiction to the pain meds, so while they help a lot they are a bit spooky. Be wary of 'em.
