You can reseal these frames but it'll take you an afternoon and then a 12-hour wait for adhesives to cure. Be cautious removing the frame and when you're finished stand the hatch up on its leading edge to keep pressure on the trim as the adhesive cures. I've done a couple - carefully. The real problem is that once you start resealing them you'll be doing it every 3 or 4 years, as they pull out again if you use new struts. I'm in the broomstick club now but my hatch doesn't leak.
