Your 2006 997.1 has larger bearing that is NOT replaceable without splitting the engine case. The LN bearing kit is not for you. The path forward is to maintain your car properly and actually follow what LN suggest in their write-ups. I have not come across a single bad advice from LN yet.
So, use good QUALITY oil (see LN), change it often (8,000km or 5,000 mi), inspect your oil filter element and the canister as well for metal or plastic debris.
Properly warm up your car and cool it down and don’t drive short distances.
And more importantly, worry about D-chunks and scored cylinder walls instead of IMS.
Read: Hartech.org buyers guide #5 if in doubt, which will shift your focus on maintaining your cooling system too.
Best I can offer at the moment.

AND ENJOY YOUR CAR, DRIVE IT, LOVE IT.
I DO!!!
